We like the spacious room, big garden & big buffet breakfast.

They need to improve the play space for the kids. Many toys are broken. The management should buy new ones.

Friendly staff and great location just up the road (Jln Basuki Rahmat) from Tunjungan Plaza.

The breakfast at the Bumi is justifiably famous for its range of offering of western and Indonesian cuisine. Not to mention the leafy garden setting. I first used the Arumanis restaurant when it was opened in December 1993 and I'm glad to say it is still going strong.

Wonderful

Very nice hotel. The courtyard feels like a peaceful little garden oasis. Breakfast was delicious. Great views from the upper levels.

Mold in bathroom. I’m sure they would have given me another room, but we stayed only 1 night so it was fine.

More than 11/10 rating

I would rate them 11/10. The hospitality provided was beyond words. I cut my finger somehow I was bleeding a lot. The check in staffs were trying their best and concern of my well being even I didn't wanna cause a huge seen. One of the staffs Mega was phenomenonal getting tissues and bandages immediately. Her colleague were assisting wrapping the wound and I was really impressed they were super concerned and wanted me to be alright. Mega also allowed me to check in early due to this incident. Bedroom was huge with comfy bed. However telephone was broken but they managed to replace with a new one. Breakfast was fantastic and so was the pool and also gym facilities. Manage to utilised all the comfy features of the hotel and would love to stay here again.

the relaxing atmosphere, the garden with fishpool, the swimming pool, the superb breakfast, and last but not least the very supporting and friendly staf

Comfortable resort hotel

Almost everything was good, especially the smorgasbord breakfast.

The air con in room 1553 was weak, and the room was a bit warm for us. Room 1560 our daughter stayed in was much better.

Great place for relaxing. Pool are okay, and breakfast is great. Really value for the money.

Didn't like that it was situated in a one way street. But it's nothing their fault.

needs some deep-cleaning

the staff were very warm and courteous. love the breakfast spread and the little 'forest' that makes you feel like you're in a resort and not in the city.

firstly, i am aware that it is an old hotel, so to find some paint chips or dents on the furniture is fine. but the toilet is where i couldn't take it, the glass door were cloudy, toilet bowl and basin area were moldy (yellow brownish stain and some algae), found some rust on the fixtures and weighing scale. i've stayed in an old hotel before but it was sparkling clean, so this is pretty much intolerable for me.

Designers of wonderful taste created a unique hotel, Bumi, Surabaya,

It is an extraordinary five star hotel designed with remarkable good taste. It is unique in the world as far as I am concerned and I have been everywhere in the world over seventy-five years. It is also the best value for the money in my experience, an amazingly wonderful place. We live in Surabaya and go there for a couple of nights frequently.

The food at night is expensive and not great but it is easy to go to the big mall nearby, TP,

It was pleasant stay and exceed my expectation.

I love the ambiance, the moment I arrived at hotel the hotel team greet me with smile and hotel is using traditional song in hallway. The restaurant has local food with traditional ambiance. The food is exquisite, some of them are quite rare even in local eatery. The spa is good as well. The staff are friendly and sincere.

Cleanliness can be improve. It is understandable that the room settings make it difficult to clean. I think adding additional time for HSK attendant to clean the room may help.

The service was excellent but the lobby wasn’t too great cause there’s no couch or comfortable sofa like other 5 star hotel. The sitting area in the lobby was not comfortable at all

Great value I will stay there again and recommend the place.

Very beautiful hotel, 5 star feeling. If you have to go to Surabaya then this is a very nice place to stay. The gardens and restaurants are wonderful.

not a lot of western options for breakfast, but i think I was the only Bule in the house. Dont get your laundry done unless you are very rich!

Helpful Staff

The staffs were so helpful and friendly. They tried to accommodate us with their best. The hotel is also located in a very good area, where you can find many restaurants.

The interior is quite old, and there was a stain in the bathtub (from a broken lining), and it smells weird when we opened the fridge.

Large breakfast selection which was all delicious. The room was spacious and comfy. The staff were very helpful. The pool area was lovely with jacuzzi. Nice all you can eat restaurant. Amazing city views
